WAKO requires a head guard in every fighting discipline. It must cover the top of the forehead, the top and back of the head, the temples, the upper jaw and the ears. WAKO does not allow head guards that cover the face or reduce the field of vision (WAKO Rules 2022, Art. 2.3.1.1). So full-face designs with a nose bar are not listed here.
These are head guards for club training and sparring. WAKO events require WAKO-approved head guards that carry the WAKO label. None of these is described by its maker as WAKO-approved or WAKO-labelled. Where a guard carries approvals, they are from boxing bodies, not WAKO.
In point fighting, children and younger cadets also wear a face mask (Art. 2.3.1.2). Check your club's sparring rules and your event's kit list before you buy.
