Our verdict
The lowest-cost foot guard in this category, sold in the UK in black, for training and club sparring. WAKO's 2022 Equipment Book names this model only in red and blue. No maker's page could be reached, so every detail beyond that listing is the UK retailer's.
WAKO's Equipment Book (revision 6, May 2022) lists the "adidas Super Safety Kicks adiKBB100" in red and in blue. The listing covers point fighting, light contact, kick light and full contact, the four WAKO disciplines that require foot guards. UK retailer Budo Online sells the black colourway, which the 2022 list does not include. Budo Online names the model ADIKBB100 and says it comes "with new WAKO approved label". That is the retailer's description.
adidas combat-sports kit is sold through licensees, and no adidas or licensee page for this model could be reached. The specification therefore comes from Budo Online: a PU artificial-leather outer over high-density foam, an elasticated toe strap with a neoprene cover, and a nylon wrap-around strap with hook-and-loop. Heel and sole coverage are not stated in text, and the size chart is an image only.
WAKO permits only WAKO-approved safety equipment at its international and national events from 1 January 2025 and requires foot protection to carry the WAKO label (WAKO Labels document, rev. 4; WAKO Europe, March 2026). Check the label on the pair you receive and your event's rules.
Kickboxers who want a first pair of foot guards at the lowest cost in this category and train for point fighting, light contact, kick light or full contact. For WAKO competition, note that the black version sold here is not a colourway WAKO's 2022 Equipment Book lists (it names red and blue).
You want the specification confirmed by the maker (Century publishes its own page for the C-Gear Determination Kicks). You need a size chart in text. You fight low kick or K1 Style, WAKO disciplines that do not use foot guards.
Pros
- WAKO's 2022 Equipment Book names the model for point fighting, light contact, kick light and full contact - in red and blue, not the black sold in the UK
- The lowest-priced foot guard in this category
- An elasticated toe strap and a hook-and-loop wrap-around strap, per UK retailer Budo Online
Cons
- No adidas or licensee product page could be reached, so the specification rests on the UK retailer's description
- The black colourway sold in the UK is not in WAKO's 2022 list, which names red and blue, and the label is the retailer's claim
- Heel and sole coverage are not stated in text, and the size chart is an image only
Why we rated it this way
Protection (3): high-density foam, per the retailer. But the padding is described only by the retailer, and the heel and sole coverage are not stated, so it is not rated higher. We rate it on the stated construction, never on an injury-prevention claim.
Comfort (3): the elasticated toe strap with a neoprene cover and the wrap-around strap are fit features stated by the retailer. We have no fit detail from the maker.
Durability (3): a PU artificial-leather outer, per the retailer, with no independent durability evidence.
Value (4): the lowest price in this category. We rate it on that basis, not on any approval or performance claim (WAKO's 2022 Equipment Book names the model only in red and blue, not the black sold here).

- Technical documentation — WAKO Equipment Book, rev. 6 (04.05.2022, approved by the WAKO IF Board and Technical Committee; hosted by WAKO Europe): lists "adidas Super Safety Kicks adiKBB100" in red and in blue (pp. 47-48), "Approved use: PF,LC,KL,FC", "Disciplines: All"; there is no black adiKBB100 entry (the blue entry's shop link happens to end "-black"; the black adiKBB200 is a different model). The adidas licensee page it links (ju-sports.de) returned 404. Read in a copy of rev. 6 downloaded by the owner, on 2026-10-22. WAKO's Rules Overview page still links this 04.05.2022 edition as its Equipment Book (checked 22 October 2026). Checked 21 October 2026.
- Other source — UK retailer Budo Online's listing, titled "adidas WAKO Approved Semi Contact Kickboxing Boots Foot Guards Martial Arts" - the purchase route. It names model ADIKBB100 and says "With new WAKO approved label" (the retailer's wording), and describes PU artificial leather, high-density foam, an elasticated toe strap with a neoprene cover and a nylon wrap-around strap with hook-and-loop; its size chart is an image only. Checked 2026-10-21.
- Technical documentation — Governing body rulebook: WAKO Rules (04.05.2022 v.2, last revised 25.10.2022), Art. 2.3.1.10 and the discipline chapters: foot protection is mandatory in point fighting, light contact, kick light and full contact - one piece covering the instep, both ankle bones and the heel, with an open sole, covered toes, an elastic toe strip and a self-adhesive strap above the heel. Low kick and K1 Style use none (foot wraps optional). Checked 21 October 2026.
- Technical documentation — WAKO Labels for approved equipment and clothes, rev. 4 (WAKO HQ, published by WAKO Europe January 2025): from 1 January 2025 only WAKO-approved safety equipment is permitted at all WAKO international and national events; the WAKO label is required on head guards, face masks, gloves, elbow pads, shin guards, shin-instep guards and foot protection, and not on mouthguards, breast protection, groin protection, bandages or ankle guards. Checked 21 October 2026.
- Technical documentation — WAKO Europe, 5 March 2026: from 1 January 2026, equipment at all local, national, regional, continental and world competitions must be verified, approved and WAKO-labelled; no fights in protective equipment without the WAKO label. Checked 22 October 2026.
