Body Protectors for Kung Fu

BCCMA's Light Sanda rules list body armour as compulsory equipment (BCCMA Light Sanda rules 2024, Rule 11.1). Under IWUF's Sanda rules, the chest protector is part of the protective gear, in red or blue (IWUF Sanda rules 2024, Article 7.3).

This listing shows one protector, which its maker says protects the chest, upper abdomen and ribs. In its Blue / Red colourway it is reversible, red on one side and blue on the other. Blitz also sells a White / Black colourway, which does not give the two corner colours.

Blitz does not mention Sanda. We list the protector for that coverage and, in Blue / Red, for the two corner colours.

Light Sanda organisers may supply some or all of the equipment (Rule 11), and IWUF's Sanda rules require IWUF-approved protective gear (Article 7.1). So check the event's rules before you buy for a bout. For women, Light Sanda allows a chest protector under the top (Rule 11).
