Our verdict
A plain black long-sleeve compression top with a published fabric blend and sizes up to 3XL. It is the lowest-cost rash guard in this category, sold directly by RDX's UK store.
RDX confirms an 83% polyester, 17% spandex compression fabric with "tightly interlocked flat seams", sold in sizes S to 3XL. RDX markets it across MMA, BJJ and other training rather than as a grappling-specific design. The product page does not mention any waistband grip or anti-ride-up feature.
It comes only in black, so it is not a ranked (belt-colour) rash guard. RDX's other claims, such as quick drying, are the manufacturer's and were not independently tested.
Beginners who want an inexpensive long-sleeve rash guard for MMA and no-gi classes, including larger sizes up to 3XL.
You want a waistband grip to stop the top riding up (see the Hayabusa Apex Core). You want a ranked (belt) colour for IBJJF no-gi competition (see the Tatami ranked rash guard).
Pros
- The lowest price in this category, sold directly by RDX's UK store
- Fabric blend published by RDX: 83% polyester, 17% spandex
- Six sizes, S to 3XL
Cons
- No waistband grip or anti-ride-up feature stated
- Black only - not a ranked range
- General cross-training positioning rather than a grappling-specific design
Why we rated it this way
Rated on Comfort, Durability and Value only - this is apparel, and a Protection star score would imply a protective function it does not have.
Comfort (3): a confirmed compression fit and flat seams, but no waist-retention feature.
Durability (3): no independent durability evidence.
Value (4): the lowest price here with a published fabric blend and sizes up to 3XL.
