Our verdict
A ranked long-sleeve rash guard, sold in belt colours, with a published fabric blend and a rubber waistband. It is the only ranked range in this category, for trainees who want their belt colour under IBJJF no-gi rules.
Tatami's ranked long-sleeve rash guard is made from 85% polyester and 15% spandex. It has an inside rubber waistband to keep it in place. It is sold in white, blue, purple, brown and black, plus orange and green in sizes XS to M. Tatami does not state whether the fit is compression, and gives sizing only as a size-guide image.
IBJJF's no-gi rules require a skin-tight black, white or black-and-white top with at least 10% of the wearer's belt colour (or a top entirely in it). That is what a ranked range provides. Tatami describes it as "IBJJF legal", which is the manufacturer's own claim.
BJJ and no-gi trainees of any level who want a top in their belt colour, including anyone entering IBJJF-rules no-gi competitions.
